Coverage Report

1. Overview

The Coverage Report Module is a core monitoring and performance tool within the Zindagi Mehfooz platform, designed to measure vaccination coverage against defined targets. It enables detailed analysis of vaccine consumption, population coverage, and service delivery effectiveness across Towns, Union Councils (UCs), and Vaccination Centers.

This module provides program managers and supervisors with insights into the effectiveness of immunization service delivery at multiple administrative levels.

2. Purpose of the Coverage Report

The primary purpose of the Coverage Report is to serve as a performance indicator for immunization programs by:

  • Monitoring vaccination coverage against defined targets

  • Analyzing vaccine consumption trends

  • Identifying under-covered populations or areas

  • Supporting planning, supervision, and corrective actions

3. Key Users & Stakeholders

User GroupRole
Provincial & District Health AuthoritiesOversight and decision-making
EPI Program ManagersStrategic planning & monitoring
Supervisors & Monitoring OfficersField supervision & intervention planning
Planning, M&E, Reporting TeamsAnalysis and reporting
Donors & Government StakeholdersPerformance oversight & accountability

4. Data Sources & Integrity

Coverage data is sourced from vaccination records submitted via the Zindagi Mehfooz mobile application, including:

  • Vaccinator identity

  • Vaccination center

  • Union Council (UC) & town

  • Date of vaccination

  • Age group & gender

  • Antigen type

  • Retroactive vaccine entries (retro)

This ensures complete, auditable, and traceable data for accurate coverage reporting.

5. Coverage Dimensions

5.1 Vaccination Targets

Defined for specific age groups and geographic areas, representing expected children to be vaccinated within a given period.

5.2 Vaccine Consumption

Actual doses administered; used to calculate coverage percentages and assess program efficiency.

5.3 Gender Segregation

Coverage data is separated by Male / Female, allowing monitoring of equitable service delivery.

5.4 Geographic Segregation (Inside / Outside UC)

Distinguishes beneficiaries residing inside their assigned UC from those vaccinated outside, supporting precise geographic analysis.

5.5 Age Group Segregation

Coverage is analyzed by age groups aligned with immunization schedules:

  • 0–11 months

  • 12–23 months

  • 24–59 months

6. Report Views & Levels

6.1 Town-Level Coverage

Aggregated coverage data for each town, supporting comparative analysis across geographic areas.

6.2 Union Council (UC)-Level Coverage

Displays UC-specific coverage statistics to target interventions where needed.

6.3 Vaccination Center-Level Coverage

Provides center-level coverage data, supporting facility performance monitoring.

7. Coverage Indicators & Calculations

The module calculates key performance metrics automatically:

  • Target Achieved (numeric)

  • Coverage Percentage (Achieved vs Target)

  • Inside UC Coverage Percentage

  • Overall Coverage Percentage

8. Performance Monitoring & Decision Support

By presenting coverage data alongside targets, the module enables:

  • Evidence-based decision making

  • Identification of low-performing areas

  • Resource reallocation and outreach planning

  • Program efficiency improvements

9. Governance, Accountability & Transparency

The Coverage Report enhances governance by providing:

  • System-generated, auditable performance data

  • Reduced reliance on manual reporting

  • Transparency for internal reviews, audits, and donor reporting

10. Program & Business Impact

Key benefits include:

  • Improved visibility into immunization performance

  • Early identification of coverage gaps

  • Better planning and resource utilization

  • Stronger accountability across administrative levels

  • Enhanced confidence of stakeholders and donors
